Scotland's Andy Robertson took responsibility after his defensive lapse resulted in a goal during the historic 150th anniversary match against England. The Liverpool defender said that he felt he let the team down and that he "had to" issue an apology to his team-mates and the manager after allowing Real Madrid midfielder Jude Bellingham a free shot to make it 2-0.

Southgate admits England’s attacking play not up to scratch in Ukraine draw

Andy Robertson "had to apologise to the team and manager" after his defensive mistake led to a goal in Scotland's 3-1 defeat against England.
The match at Hampden Park marked the 150th anniversary of England and Scotland’s first encounter back in 1872.
Phil Foden opened up the scoring for England after the half-hour mark, then minutes later Jude Bellingham scored the Three Lions' second after Robertson made an error.
"The second goal is completely my fault,' Robertson told beIN Sports.
"I hate letting this team down and that's what I felt I did today. I hate costing goals and it was just that I didn't quite expect the ball to land at my feet and it has just fallen to him, and when you're coming up against Bellingham with the form he's in, he's not going to let you get away with it."
In the second half, Scotland forced an own goal from Harry Maguire but Harry Kane put the game to bed in the 81st minute after more fine work from Bellingham.
"You take it on the chin and try and react, and in the second half we got ourselves back in the game," added Robertson, the captain of Steve Clarke's side.
"I had to apologise to the team and the manager. I did that. I just tried to have a positive reaction in the second half, and I thought I'd done that, but tonight I'll obviously be kicking myself."
After the match, Clarke told Channel 4: "Andy made a mistake for the second goal, that happens in football.
"First half, we didn't really get started, couldn't get hold of the ball. Second half, we showed better intensity, and when it goes 2-1, we had the chance to be in the game, but England scored another one, and it was always going to be difficult to get back in.
"England started like the top side they are. We're not there, but we're trying to develop, trying to get better. We've always come back stronger from adversity, and let's hope that's the case [here].
"When you play against a side as good as England, you have to get everything 100% correct. We didn't do that tonight, and that's why we lost the game."
