Poland are attempting to persuade Chelsea's exciting Israeli youngster Ben Sahar to switch his international allegiance to them.
The 17-year-old made his Premiership bow in the win over Wigan Athletic last weekend after being blooded by Jose Mourinho in the Carling Cup.
Although shining at Under-21 level for Israel, the forward is also eligible to represent Poland and he holds a Polish passport.
"Ben has the opportunity to play for Poland," his mother Batya Sahar told Gazeta.
"His military service is a porblem and Ben won't return to Israel if they force him.
"But I believe he'll find a solution.
"If he's invited by the Polish national team, it will be really nice, but Ben will decide where he wants to play.
"It's clear that, if he plays with the Israeli national squad, then he won't have the opportunity to play with Poland."
