TNT Sport pundits Joe Cole and Michael Owen believe that it would "ominous for everyone else" if Kylian Mbappe decides to join Real Madrid next season.
It has been reported that Mbappe has told Paris Saint-Germain that he will leave the club at the end of the season, with Madrid currently the favourites for his signature.
If the 25-year-old decides to sign for the La Liga giants, he will playing alongside the likes of Jude Bellingham, Vinicius Jr, Rodrgyo and Thibaut Courtois.
Speaking to TNT Sports ahead of the UEFA Champions League action on Tuesday, the former England internationals believe that Madrid could dominate both domestic and European football in the years to come if Mbappe joins.
"You look at the names that are already there," Cole said. "The quality of the manager, Vinicius, Rodrygo either side of him. You're getting to the stage where you're putting the galacticos back together.
You look at what could possibly be the line up - Bellingham, [Aurelien] Tchouameni, Valverde - [Eduardo] Camavinga hasn't even made the team. It's experience, strength and he [Mbappe] just adds the stardust. It's an incredible, incredible team."
Owen spent a year at the Bernabeu playing with the original galacticos from 2004-2005 and said he can Madrid's future team being even better.
"I think this team looks like it's a younger team and I think Real Madrid are buying for the future as well," he explained. "I played with Brazilian Ronaldo and he was in the twilight of his career.
"So was [Luis] Figo, [Zinedine] Zidane, Raul, Roberto Carlos and David Beckham. All of those players were getting into the latter stages whereas this team could grow together and it's a young team that could get better.
"The names of those probably back in the day were bigger, however this team could develop into something special just because of the age."
Cole added: "I worry for Spanish football because I think Barcelona have fallen so far behind with the financial problems they've had.
"Obviously they've come back and Xavi has won trophies in recent years but they are going to be miles away from putting that team together. That team is built for the Champions League and winning La Liga should be done at a canter with their players.
"I want him to sign there because I want to see what it's like but also, it's ominous for everyone else. Who's going to be able to match them? Manchester City at their very best maybe? It would certainly be exciting."
Mbappe will be looking to lead PSG to their first-ever Champions League title in his final season and they hold a 2-0 lead over Real Sociedad in their first-leg last-16 clash.
