Maris wants Getafe stay

Latvian striker Maris Verpakovskis is keen to prolong his stay at Getafe.
The 27-year-old, who is owned by Ukrainian side Dinamo Kiev, is currently on a six-month loan deal at the Coliseum Alfonso Perez, though is keen to turn that into a permanent deal.
"I don't know if I'll be staying here," he said. "I like being here and I want to play for Getafe next year. It's a fantastic club, and maybe next month I'll know whether I will be here next season.
Verpakovskis has managed just two goals since his arrival in January, and has spent long periods on the bench behind first-choice striker Dani Guiza, though is nevertheless keen to remain in La Liga, and even conducted a brief charm offensive, revealing his love of "siestas, the food and the ham, which is the best in the world."
