The deal for Busquets, 25, contains the option for a further year and sets his buyout clause at a prohibitive 150 million euros (£131m).
Busquets was previously rewarded with a new contract in January 2011 and his improved terms reflect his development into arguably the world’s finest holding midfielder.
Son of former Barca keeper Carles Busquets, the Spain international has won four La Liga titles, two Copa del Reys and two Champions Leagues since graduating from La Masia and earning a place in the first-team squad.
At international level he was a key member of the Spain teams that triumphed at the 2010 World Cup and Euro 2012.
