More fans turned up to watch League One Sunderland than Tottenham on Boxing Day.

Tottenham are currently third in the Premier League, in the last 16 of the Champions League and in the semi-final of the League Cup.

Sunderland are third in League One, and were knocked out of the League Cup at the first-round stage at the hands of Sheffield Wednesday.

Yet, quite incredibly, more fans turned up to watch the Blacks Cats in their League One match against Bradford City - a game they would go on to win 1-0.

To be fair, 46,039 is hugely impressive. Hugely so. It was the third biggest attendance in the country.

Tottenham, on the other hand, 'only' had 45,154 watch their 5-0 drubbing of Bournemouth at Wembley.
