Gillingham manager Mark Stimson has urged transfer-listed striker Delroy Facey to give him a call as they look to offload him.
The club have received two enquiries for the 28-year-old - who scored three goals for the Gills last season and ended the campaign on loan at Wycombe - but any potential move away for the much-travelled frontman has been scuppered by his failure to get in contact with Priestfield officials.
Stimson told KentOnline: "Everyone has rung him and left messages. We don't know where he is.
"It's a shame because as well as looking after ourselves, we could be doing him a favour by getting him a job somewhere else. If we didn't pay him next month, he'd be ringing me up straight away.
"My message to him would be 'Ring us back'. There's no punishment, just get in touch. The chairman, myself, my assistant and the physio have all left him messages.
"He can help us and we can help him. Delroy has got a year's contract left with us and someone out there is willing to give him a two-year deal."
