Mallorca down despite victory

Mallorca benefitted from a goal on the cusp of half time from Martí to ease to a 4-2 victory against Real Valladolid but suffered relegation.
Martí scored thanks to a strong individual effort and put a right-footed shot into the lower right of the net.
Javier Márquez played the whole match. He scored in the 68th minute, assisted on Giovani dos Santos's goal in the 58th minute, took three shots and completed 43 passes. Márquez demonstrated his rapport with Antonio Luna throughout the match, and connected with the defender for eight passes.
Other goals in the match came from a shot by Alejandro Alfaro in the 17th minute, a left-footed shot by Alberto Bueno in the 30th minute, a shot by dos Santos in the 58th minute and a left-footed shot by Omar Ramos in the 72nd minute.
At 18th in the table, Los Bermellones have lost the battle for survival. Real Valladolid have a record of 11 wins, 17 losses and 10 draws this season, which puts them in 14th place, only six points above the relegation zone.
