Luis Suarez says his focus was fixed on becoming a “good team-mate” after moving from Liverpool to Barcelona.
The Uruguayan forward joined the Catalan giants in 2014 after his scintillating form propelled the Reds to within a whisker of an unlikely Premier League title.
And, after an indifferent start in Spain, Suarez has upped his game to help Barca to the treble last season. He tops the club’s scoring and assists charts in 2015-16.
"La Liga is very different to the Premier League," said Suarez.
"Everyone knows that it's completely different and what you need to do is always be yourself, don't change, just adapt your movements and a few things FC Barcelona dictate, but the thing I cared about was being a good team-mate."
Barcelona can open up a 13-point gap between themselves and third-placed Real Madrid with victory in Saturday's Clasico. Atletico Madrid occupy third spot, some nine points off top spot.
