The defending champions, without the crocked Lionel Messi, struggled for long spells in the Group E clash before snatching victory late on at Camp Nou.
A section of the home fans voiced their discontent after their team fell behind in the 22nd minute, with Barca finally mustering a response via goals from Sergi Roberto and Luis Suarez.
And although Neymar was pleased to win, he apportioned blame to the fans for his side's shaky display.
Would moving to Manchester United have been good for Neymar?
"Yes, it is difficult when the fans are not with us," Neymar told AS. "I'm very happy for the victory, but we suffered a lot to win the match.
"The important thing was to win, and we did everything to make goals and we won.
"I did my job. We have to know how to play without Messi, and win so he is back with us in good shape."
Barca top the group with four points from two games ahead of two fixtures against Belarusian outfit BATE.
