Neymar joined the club from Santos two years ago and he has lit up La Liga ever since.
The Barcelona striker has scored 31 goals in 59 games so far for the Catalan club.
Bartomeu, appearing on RAC1, was quizzed as to when Neymar would sign a new contract, as well as addressing the transfer talk surrounding the player.

“There’s no fixed date [for a contract renewal] but we want Neymar to retire at Barca,” he said.
“People didn’t like that Neymar was signing for Barca to be part of the best forward line in the world. He plays for us, and that’s important.
“The first case is already in Barcelona. We’ll see what happens with the second one. I’m not tired of my name being spoken about. I want to defend Barca and the important thing is the work and the performance of Neymar. I don’t want everything that’s said to affect him.”
