Juventus midfielder Arturo Vidal has agreed a deal to move to Real Madrid, according to Spanish media.
The 28-year-old is currently in his native Chile, representing his country in the Copa America, the final of which is on Saturday.
According to Sport, Los Merengues have been in negotiations with Vidal and his agent for the past few days, and have agreed on a five-year contract.
Madrid are now said to be seeking to reduce Juventus’ asking fee for the player, which is believed to be around €30m.
No further movement is expected until after the Copa America final, but Sport claims Vidal is keen to make the move to Bernabeu.
OUR VIEW
There were doubts that Vidal could return to his rampaging best after playing through a knee injury at the World Cup in 2014.
However, the Chilean has carried his tremendous late-season form into the Copa America and his acquisition would strengthen an already superb midfield. Vidal would add further drive and intensity as Madrid look to build a side under Rafa Benitez after last season's trophy-less campaign.
