GOAL FOR BARCELONA! Aguero scores a typical poacher's goal after Dest gets around Mendy and puts a low cross on the six-yard box which the former Manchester City striker puts away with aplomb.
GOAL FOR REAL MADRID! Asencio races down the inside left channel and puts a good shot in from a tight angle which ter Stegen saves but Lucas Vazquez taps home the rebound.
Depay was set free in the left hand side of the box but rather than score looks to square for Pique who is squeezed out of getting a shot in.
Coutinho gets to the by-line and puts in a cross which Courtois claims even though he still looks gimpy on that leg.
Valverde has gone off to be replaced by Daniel Carvajal after he icked up a head knock.
Courtois has gone down clutching his knee, his non-kicking foot after a clearance with no player near him. A worrying sign.
Aguero....no. A good effort from the Argentine striker who pulled off his marker and met Alba's cross with a header but just over the target.
Mendy is booked for time wasting.
Coutinho tries to find space to score but finds his space squeezed by Militao.
Aguero comes on for Fati.
Dest with a good effort on goal cutting in on his left foot but he shoots just past the post into the side-netting.
Great chance for Benzema! He plays the ball wide to Mendy and then races into the box to get to a ball on the six-yard box but is just in front of the cross and cannot get a good contact into an open goal.
Rodrygo comes off for Valverde.
Vinicius Jr gets behind the Barca defence but rather than shoot he takes the ball to the by-line and tries to cross but ter Stegen gathers comfortably.
Whistles around the Nou Camp as Madrid aree playing keep ball.
Benzema aims an acrobatic volley at goal after Modric teed him up but ter Stegen saves.
Barcelona are appealing for a penalty after the ball struck Kroos' arm when he was challenging for a ball with de Jong. Pique picks up a yellow card for his complaints.
Rodrygo has a good chance from ten yards out after Kroos lays the ball back for him but it goes out for a throw in.
Mendy comes in from the left flank and shoots with his right foot but it is straight at ter Stegen.
Modric plays in Rodrygo in the right hand side of the penalty area and his cross is cleared by Garcia in front of Benzema.
Depay flicks the ball back to Coutinho and he forces Real Madrid to concede a corner.
Coutinho has come on for Mingueza, meanin Dest pushes back to full back.
Real Madrid get us back underway...
A game which grew as it went on. A fantastic goal has Real Madrid in front but Barcelona really should be on the scoreboard as well.
Alba pulls the ball back from Fati eight yards out and he turns inside Militao but Alaba got across to get a crucial block.
Alba again gets to the left touchline and his cross is again put behind for a corner.
Garcia's poor shot allowed Madrid to break and Vinicius played in Benzema who clipped a ball back for Kroos to volley and only Alba's block stopped a likely second goal.
JUST WIDE! Pique meets Depay's corner with a firm downward header that has Courtois beaten but drifts just wide of the far post.
Rodrygo body-checks Jordi Alba and Barcelona have a chance to put the ball into the box from the left flank but Vazquez heads behind for a corner.
GOAL FOR REAL MADRID! Alaba scores a magnificent first. It came from a counter-attack and Alba started the move, then kept on running down the left flank, was found by Rodrygo and fired a missile inside the far post leaving ter Stegen with no chance.
Depay shoots from outside of the box but wide of the target.
Kroos dinks a ball into the box for Modric racing in from the right flank and he attempts to find a team-mate with a header but Barca clear.
WHAT A MISS! A great run from Depay down the left and he squared just behind Fati which presented Dest with a near open goal but he put it miles over the bar.
Benzema put through Vinicius and we had an enjoyable ten seconds or so as the Brazilian went round ter Stegen twice before he shot wide of the target and the flag went up as we always knew it would.
A fantastic run from Vinicius from the left flank he weaved his way inside Mingueza and then inside Garcia before the former came back and put his hands on him and the Brazilian went down. Probably not enough contact for a penalty and VAR has confirmed the referee's non-call was correct.
Real Madrid enjoying more possession now, they have survived the early Barcelona pressure.
Kroos' corner is met at the front post by Casemiro but his header is deflected wide of the target.
Vinicius Jr gets behind Mingueza and gets to the by-line but his cross is deflected behind.
Real Madrid can't get the ball out of their half. You feel something has to give here, either Barca caught on the break or a Madrid mistake presenting a big chance.
Barcelona pressing high up the field and certainly stopping Real Madrid from establishing their usual passing dominance in midfield.
Alba intercepts the ball in midfield and tries to play through Fati but the ball is just too firm and the Real keeper gathers.
Barcelona get us underway...
We're just moments away now from kick-off now.
Real Madrid were unsurprisingly favourites going into the game, but the prices have swing with Barcelona now around the 6/4 mark and Real Madrid generally 13/8. I would rather be backing los Merengues at that price.
As for Real Madrid, they are unsurprisingly unchanged from the side who smashed Shakhtar Donetsk 5-0 in Ukraine. They certainly come into the game in better form, assuming the long away trip doesn't take anything away from their legs.
The only changes for Barcelona from the side who beat Dynamo Kiev 1-0 at home in midweek, without looking too convincing it must be said, are Eric Garcia starting at centre back ahead of Clement Lenglet and Ansu Fati in attack in place of Luuk de Jong.
We have another good read for you. Where will the Clasico be won? Pete Sharland reckons in the midfield. I make him right, can Barca handle Kroos, Casemiro and Modric?
