Maicon not set for PSG

Media reports suggest PSG football director Leonardo - head coach of Inter for a spell last season - was set to endorse a €15m bid for the former Monaco full-back, but agent Roberto Calenda has moved to dispel such a suggestion.

“I want to assure all of the Nerazzurri fans,” said Roberto Calenda.

“Maicon is and will continue to be an Inter player as he wants to win more honours in this jersey.

“I can categorically exclude any transfer negotiations with any clubs, there is no contact with Paris SG or with anyone else.

“I can understand that Maicon is a player who is wanted by some very big teams, but he’s already at a great club.

“He’s happy at Inter and he wants this marriage to continue.”
