France's board of sporting ethics have given referee Tony Chapron a three-month suspended ban for publicly criticising the French Football Federation.
Chapron, 39, called the FFF "incompetent in the field of refereeing and others" after top-flight referees were suspended from all Ligue 1 matches on matchday 26.
They had demanded a 15-minute delay to all kick-offs in protest at player and coach dissent, which the FFF refused.
The FFF replaced match officials with those from the amateur third tier that weekend, leading Chapron to call them "people who are not at the top (of their ability)".
