Lacina Traore bagged four first-half goals before seeing red as Monaco demolished amateurs St Jean Beaulieu 10-2 in the French Cup on Sunday.
The Ivory Coast international’s remarkable display came to an abrupt halt following a half-time altercation with Yann Mariotti, which saw both men dismissed.
Monaco shared the wonderful video of Traore's goals; though they didn't share the bit with him getting his marching orders.
"I have nothing to reproach Lacina for," Monaco coach Leonardo Jardim was quoted as saying by sports daily L'Equipe on Monday.
"I was there and nothing happened. It's just players talk. One said 'shut up' and the other one (Traore) said 'go away'. If I told you everything the players say on the pitch they'd be all sent off."
Andrea Raggi, Fares Bahlouli, Fabinho (two), Helder Costa and Mario Pasalic were also on target for the Ligue 1 side. St Jean Beaulieu notched consolations through Arthur Leblanc and Faycal Sahour.
Traore endured an ill-fated spell on loan at Everton in 2014, where he made two appearances before his stint at Goodison Park was cut short by injury.
