Zlatan Ibrahimovic became PSG's all time top goalscorer with both of his side's goals in a 2-1 win over Marseille.
Marseille shocked the home side when Abdelaziz Barrada's cross was nudged in at the far post by Michy Batshuayi, and then looked calm enough to hang on at least until half time.
That was until Batshuayi played a back pass from halfway line straight into the path of Ibrahimovic, who took a touch past Steve Mandanda, only for the 'keeper to bring him down. He scored calmly, equalling the PSG scoring record before moving one ahead with another penalty a few minutes later, after Rolando inadvertently handballed from a corner.
In the second half, Serge Aurier brought down Barrada in the box, but the Moroccan's effort was well saved by Kevin Trapp at full stretch.

PSG dominated possession, but struggled to create many chances. An excellent opportunity for Aurier came when he headed over the bar when unmarked inside the six-yard box. Javier Pastore almost put the game beyond Marseille but Mandanda pulled off a brilliant save from close-range. Trapp then blocked a shot from Cabella in the final minute of extra time as PSG saw the game out.

KEY STATS

Zlatan Ibrahimovic overtook Pauleta as PSG's leading all time scorer with his second goal of the game, and his 110th for the club.
Marseille scored their first goal at Parc des Princes since April 2012.

TALKING POINT

Another European league appears to be over already. Marseille is usually a grudge match, given the rivalry between two of the biggest clubs in France. Today was curiously bloodless, perhaps representative not just of Marseille's poor start to the season, but illustrative of the fact that while PSG can strengthen with millions of pounds each year, Marseille, like others, find the Premier League and others poaching their best.

MAN OF THE MATCH

Kevin Trapp (Paris Saint-Germain): Steve Mandanda also had an impressive game, but was hampered by Batshuayi's determination to make life hard for him. His penalty save and last-minute block secured victory for a PSG who could only score from the penalty spot.
