AS Monaco have suspended Thierry Henry from his duties as manager with assistant Franck Passi appointed as first team coach for training on Friday.
Monaco say they have yet to make a final decision on Henry amid claims they are set to cut their losses by sacking the France World Cup winner - just 15 weeks into his appointment.
Henry signed a three-year contract last October but he has been unable to turn around the club's fortunes, with Monaco second from bottom in Ligue 1.
With just four wins from his 20 games in charge so far, there are reports that his predecessor Leonardo Jardim will return to replace him.
The Mirror claim that the club's owners are ready to accept their mistake in sacking Jardim by making a shock U-turn.
Monaco are in the relegation zone, two points above 18th-placed Dijon following their 5-1 defeat at home to Strasbourg - with fears growing they will drop into the second tier.
Henry's woes were compounded when he was forced into a grovelling apology to Strasbourg's Kenny Lala after he was caught shouting, "your grandmother's a whore" at the player.
The 41-year-old said afterwards: "It's an expression of the street, unfortunately. I regret my comments from the bench. It was a human reaction, I'm still human. I regret it.
"Sometimes I do it in English. Maybe in English it wouldn't have been as noticeable. No, I'm joking. I should not do it."
Henry is without a win in front of his own supporters at the Stade Louis II, with the 2-0 victory over Amiens on December 4 the last time they collected three points.
The Principality club were also knocked out of the French Cup by Metz on Tuesday.
