PSG's lead at the Ligue 1 summit has grown this weekend thanks to Nice losing, but only to five points after they were held to a frustrated 1-1 draw against Lille in their encounter on Sunday evening. Lille move up to fourth place with the unexpected point, which they earned in shock fashion right at the death with an equaliser deep into stoppage time to deny Kylian Mbappe and PSG.

Jonathan David equalised in stoppage time as Lille held Ligue 1 leaders Paris Saint-Germain to a 1-1 draw in Ligue 1.
PSG, lethargic for much of the match, were gifted a second-half opener when Bafode Diakite needlessly felled Lucas Hernandez in the Lille penalty area. Kylian Mbappe coolly dispatched the spot-kick.
The Parisians' understudy goalkeeper Arnau Tenas did not have to make a save before stoppage-time and they looked to be heading for all three points.
However, Lille pounced when substitute Marco Asensio gave the ball away deep inside his own half, and fellow replacement David reacted quickest to head home on the rebound after Tenas had saved a deflected shot with his legs.

Talking Point - Unimpressive PSG do just enough

PSG were not very impressive, but a 1-1 draw at Lille is not a bad result. Lille are now 14 games unbeaten in all competitions, and entering this weekend had won more Ligue 1 points at home than any other team. The Parisians' lead at the top of the table has also grown this weekend, so it can be considered a success.
However, much like the 1-1 UEFA Champions League draw at Borussia Dortmund which ensured qualification, you can't help but feel there should be and must be more to come from PSG. At least on that occasion they could point to a number of missed chances - here they created very little.
Winning the league is the minimum requirement for a PSG side these days, so it's games further down the line which will determine whether or not this season is a good one. But they remain an unconvincing side thus far.

Player of the Match - Alexsandro (Lille)

The Brazilian was at the heart of an impressive and resolute defensive effort, which would have been worthy of a clean sheet were it not for Diakite's moment of madness.

GOOD SAVE! 90+2' - Ounas slips in David, who tries to dink the ball over the onrushing Tenas but is denied by a fine save.
GOAL! LILLE 1-1 PSG (DAVID) 90+4' - Lille have their leveller! Asensio gives the ball away deep in his own half, Cabella gets it and tees up Ounas, whose deflected shot is well saved by Tenas with his legs. However, it is David who reacts quickest and nods in the rebound.
