Steven Taylor endures possibly the worst debut of all time

Former Newcastle United defender Steven Taylor had a debut to forget as he started his Portland Timbers career against LA Galaxy.

Taylor left Newcastle United after their relegation to the Championship and recently moved to Portland Timbers for a spell in MLS.

In a game between the reserves of Portland and the Galaxy, Taylor scored an own goal after just nine minutes, and his side went into half-time trailing 3-0.

At that point, his manager removed him from the team, and Blake Bodily, Villyan Bijev (twice) and Neco Brett completed a remarkable 4-3 turnaround victory.
