Klopp wants Lewandowski at Kop - New Liverpool manager Jurgen Klopp is targeting Robert Lewandowski for a move to Anfield, reports the Mirror. The striker’s agent has indicated that the 27-year-old’s future might not be at Bayern Munich and he could link up again with the German manager for whom he played at Borussia Dortmund. Despite having £32 million Christian Benteke, Daniel Sturridge, Danny Ings and Divock Origi at Anfield, Klopp will not hesitate if given the chance to sign the Pole.
Paper round's view: Don’t hold your breath Liverpool fans. It might be that Lewandowski would like to work with Klopp again but why would he leave Bayern? They are guaranteed Champions League football – and have a chance of winning it every year – and he is in the form of his life after recently scoring five goals in nine minutes against Wolfsburg. Bayern also have to sanction the sale, while Liverpool are certainly not assured of a place in Europe this season.

United keen on Tielemans - Manchester United are keen on Anderlecht midfielder Youri Tielemans, insists the Daily Mail. The 18-year-old, who can play in the defensive midfielder role, or more advanced, has reportedly been watched by Chelsea, Barcelona and Borrusia Dortmund as well.

Paper round's view: United’s Dutch manager Louis van Gaal is linked with virtually every young prospect in Holland. Of course he will have a knowledge of them, as will the club’s global scouting network. But a move really cannot be imminent. United have a defensive injury crisis and could do with another striker. The least of their worries is stocking up on midfielders - the one area where they have an abundance of riches.

Chelsea consider Simeone - Chelsea are thinking about moving for Atletico manager Diego Simeone as a replacement for Jose Mourinho, reports The Mirror. The Portuguese manager has had a terrible start to the season at Stamford Bridge and was given the dreaded vote of confidence by the club last week. Chelsea have reportedly put a succession plan in place should Mourinho not turn his side’s fortunes around.

Paper round's view: Simeone would be a natural choice for Chelsea - he is one of the best young managers in Europe and looks to have taken Atletico as far as he can. But that does not mean Chelsea have actually done anything about hiring him - this is just and easy link to make. Roman Abramovich will surely give Mourinho at least a bit more time to turn things around.

Allardyce looks at move for Nolan - Sam Allardyce is thinking about bringing Kevin Nolan to Sunderland, the Telegraph reports. The new Black Cats manager could call on his trusted ally, who was his captain at West Ham. The 33-year-old is available immediately after he had his contract terminated by the Hammers earlier in the season.

Paper round's view: This would be no surprise at all. It makes total sense for all concerned. Nolan needs a club and Sunderland need experienced leaders in their dressing room as they gear up for a potential relegation scrap.

Martinez looking at Embolo - Everton are plotting to land Switzerland ace Breel Embolo in January transfer window, according to the Star. An offer of around £15m would reportedly be needed to tempt Basel into selling the 18-year-old who was born in Cameroon before becoming a Swiss national. Embolo has played five times for his country this year, scoring against San Marino on Friday night.
Paper round's view: Everton boss Roberto Martinez has a track record of developing young players, and there is no doubt Embolo has talent. However, with Ross Barkley coming back into form and Steven Naismith also available, this is surely not a priority for Everton now and £15m would be a bit of a gamble.
