Patrick Vieira suffered his first defeat as New York City boss as his side were beaten 1-0 at home by Orlando City.

The former Arsenal and France midfielder, in his first job as manager, had taken four points from the opening two games of the MLS season but his side were undone by Cyle Larin's seventh-minute goal.

The hosts had plenty of time and chances to earn a leveller, bombarding Orlando's net with 16 efforts, but they could not find a way through.
