The former England winger produced an eye-catching display on his debut in the goalless draw against Newcastle at Loftus Road on Monday night. Wright-Phillips, who joined Rangers after a second spell at Manchester City, was one of several new signings by manager Neil Warnock ahead of the deadline, including skipper Joey Barton.
He told the club's official website, www.qpr.co.uk: "I feel I am a bit off (the pace) at the moment. I need a few more games under my belt to get my match-fitness and sharpness back. With the team playing the way they did and helping me settle in very quickly, that made it pretty easy."
He added: "It's the first game that we've all played together. I think we've done superbly and I also thought the team defended really well.
"As long as we keep playing like that and the better we get to know each other, then the better we're going to do.

"We need to just concentrate on staying up this year, which I think we're more than capable of doing."
