Bolton Wanderers have secured late deals to sign David Ngog on a permanent deal from Liverpool and bring Gael Kakuta to the club on loan from Chelsea.
Ngog, 22, has joined Bolton for a reported fee of £4 million and has signed a three-year deal. He leaves Anfield after scoring 19 goals in 94 appearances for the Reds.
"David will be a great addition to our squad," said Owen Coyle. "He is quick, can score goals and he knows what the Barclays Premier League is all about.
"We are delighted to bring another quality, young prospect to Bolton."
Meanwhile, Kakuta has joined the Trotters on loan for six months.
The Frenchman made seven appearances during a loan spell at Fulham last season but now follows in the footsteps of Daniel Sturridge, who was a success working under Coyle last season.
"I'm delighted that Chelsea have enabled us to take Gael on loan and I'd like to thank Andre and the club for that," said Coyle.
"He is someone whose progress we have tracked since he first broke into the Chelsea first team a couple of years ago. He is skilful, quick, exciting to watch and I'm really looking forward to working with him."
