‘Don’t grow a big head’, Federico Macheda urges Marcus Rashford

Fleeting breakthrough act Federico Macheda has urged current Manchester United sensation Marcus Rashford to ignore the hype surrounding him.
Rashford has spearheaded a mini-rival at Old Trafford, bagging braces in his first two senior appearances against FC Midtjylland and Arsenal.
However, Macheda has a warning for the 18-year-old: do not get complacent.
"Marcus needs to continue working hard, don't grow a big head, don't read or listen to all the hype and be lucky with injuries," Macheda told The Sun.
"The kid has got a great chance to play more than I had, so he must stay as calm and hungry as he is now.
"United will look after him - so everything is stacked in his favour."
A fine individual effort from Macheda (then 17) against Aston Villa helped United to the Premier League title in 2009 – but he has since drifted into obscurity and currently plies his trade at Championship side Cardiff City.
Following Rashford's immediate impact, United have a realistic chance of finishing top four, while they also entertain Liverpool in the Europa League last 16.
