Bogan, 27, is out of contract at the Championship club and will move to Anfield on July 1 to provide competition for Simon Mignolet.
Bogdan made 120 appearances for Bolton after joining the club from Vasas in 2007 and has won 19 caps for Hungary.
The keeper is the third summer signing already for Liverpool, following on from the free transfer capture of James Milner and the arrival of Danny Ings.
Ings’s fee will have to be set by tribunal if Liverpool cannot agree a price with Burnley for the out-of-contract England Under-21 international.
The Hungary international Bogdan, who joined Bolton on a free transfer from Vasas in the summer of 2007, made over 100 appearances for the Lancashire club.
"I would like to say thank you to Bolton Wanderers for giving me the opportunity to fulfil my dream and become a professional football player in England. It was eight years ago when I first came to the club and I feel Bolton have helped make me the player I am today. I have to say a thank you to all of my coaches during my time at the club, as every one of them has contributed something towards my game. A huge thank you also goes to the fans. I have fond memories of you all and it makes it really hard to leave the football club. However, I have been given a fantastic chance in my life to join Liverpool Football Club and I would like to make the most of this opportunity. I'm looking forward to the next chapter of my career, but I will never forget the time I have spent at Bolton. I wish everyone associated with the club all the very best. Thank you, Adam Bogdan."
OUR VIEW
Liverpool's speed in the transfer market is laudable but these aren't really signings to get too excited about. Presumably there are more transformative moves afoot, in which case the capture of Milner, Ings and Bogdan can be seen as a decent start.
Mignolet was remarkably named Liverpool's Player of the Year despite losing his place to Brad Jones at one stage during the season so presumably feels fairly secure in the role now. Bogdan is unlikely to supplant him and should be seen as a back-up.
