Lothar Matthaus: Thomas Muller does not need Manchester United or Chelsea move

Manchester United and Chelsea may be keeping tabs on Thomas Muller, but Bayern great Lothas Matthaus has urged the forward to reject their advances should they come calling again.
United lodged at least one bid over the summer for the Germany international, while the Blues have also been linked with the 26-year-old.
Muller conceded in October that a move to the Premier League was tempting, given the huge investment being poured into it.
However, Matthaus claimed Bayern was the pinnacle of world football and hopes Muller will see out his career at the Allianz Arena.
"He does not need United or Chelsea," Matthaus told Bild. "My opinion is he should definitely stay at Bayern for his lifetime. He started his professional career at Bayern and I think he should end his career here.
"He does not need any new challenge as he is always playing at the highest level every year at Bayern."
United have the Premier League’s tightest defence, leaking just 10 goals in 14 games, but have also scored the fewest out of the top-flight’s top five clubs.
Over the weekend, Gary Neville insisted his former club could win the title, providing they address their deficiencies and add a match-winner to their ranks.
