Louis van Gaal is reportedly nearing the end of his Manchester United reign, but at least he can console himself with the knowledge that a free holiday awaits if he’s chopped.
The Dutchman is in a perilous position at Old Trafford following back-to-back defeats, the latter a shaming 2-1 loss at Danish minnows FC Midtjylland.
Jose Mourinho's name is never distant from the 'next United manager' conversation, with Inter Milan director Bedy Moratti recently announcing the Portuguese boss was on his way to Manchester.
Now a travel agent in his homeland has made arrangements to soften the blow if - or, more likely, when - Van Gaal is fired.
GeniusTravel have offered him a free all-inclusive trip to anywhere on the planet for when his time runs out.
“Since he has been in England, it’s all gone downhill ... both for Manchester United and the Dutch national team,” founder Gennie Freen told The Sun.
“That’s why I’m offering LVG a much-needed break, anytime from now. We love him in Holland so I’m ready to come to his aid.
“And we have cars or planes all laid on ready to whisk him away after the Shrewsbury game if the worse happens to him.”
Somehow, we don't think he'll be taking them up on the offer...
