City to challenge United for Ramos - Manchester City are ready to fight Manchester United for Sergio Ramos, according to The Mirror. Ramos is reportedly unhappy at Real Madrid with United trying to take advantage - twice moving for the defender in recent weeks. Real rejected both advances and now City want to swoop in and snatch the Spaniard from under their rivals' noses.
Paper Round's view: Ramos would be a boost to City, but it's tough to see them out-bidding United for the centre-back. The Red Devils have made him a priority and identified the position as a major need. That's not necessarily true of the Citizens, but if they can push the price on Ramos higher and get United to spend some extra money, that's a job well done.

Schweinsteiger leaning towards Man United move - Bastian Schweinsteiger is intrigued by the guaranteed playing time offered by Manchester United and that may land him at Old Trafford, per The Times. The midfielder isn't sure if he wants to stay at Bayern Munich and the regular starts that Louis van Gaal would give him at United has him leaning towards a move. His biggest priority remains starring for Germany, which means playing regularly to maintain his national team place, and the Red Devils will give him that.
Paper Round's view - Schweinsteiger's first season under Pep Guardiola did not go so well. He started just 15 matches and looking to be more of a depth option than a starring player. If he were to move to United, he would immediately become a starter every match. United desperately need central midfield help and while Schweinsteiger would carry a big price tag, they can afford it. Still, getting the midfielder to leave a big club like Bayern and the only club he has ever known will not be easy.

Balotelli could leave for Trabzonspor - Mario Balotelli could be on his way to Turkey. The Sun claim that Liverpool are willing to let Balotelli go for less than the £16 million they bought him for a year ago and that Trabzonspor are interested in signing the striker. Liverpool want to dump Balotelli as the first of nine players who could be sold by the Reds.
Paper Round's view - Balotelli has long looked likely to leave Anfield this summer. He had a terrible season at the club and they have been working on signing several strikers already in the transfer window. Liverpool are unlikely to get £16 million for him so they'll have to take a loss, but it would be a shock if Balotelli agreed to join Trabzonspor. They have new money, but are still a second class club from a smaller league.

Chelsea chasing Turan - Arda Turan took to Twitter to say that he was discussing a potential move with three or four clubs and The Mail believe that Chelsea are one of those clubs. They along with Barcelona, Man United and PSG are all looking at the midfielder who wants to try the Premier League. Turan is valued at £25 million after four very good seasons at Atletico Madrid.
Paper Round's view - Atletico won't want to sell Turan, but his contract expires in 2017 so if he wants out and they don't let him go this summer, they'll be forced to sell him on the cheap next summer. It's possible that a new, improved contract will keep him in Madrid, but if that doesn't come then £25 million could very well see him leave. Chelsea don't really need a player like him, but he would be a nice addition to Man United.

Man City could get Delph on the cheap - Manchester City want Fabian Delph and he won't cost them much. The Mail understand that the Aston Villa midfielder's release clause is a mere £8 million, opening the door for Man City to add the midfielder this summer. Delph's contract was set to expire this summer, but said he didn't want to leave on a free so he signed a new deal with the club in January. That new contract apparently came with an easy exit for the player.
Paper Round's view - It looked like Delph was going to leave Villa on a free so getting him on a new deal, even if just to lose him for a cheap £8 million is better than expected. Still, Villa will be disappointed that things played out the way they did and they didn't get more back for a very good midfielder. Delph would be a nice addition to the City midfield corps and he's a homegrown player, which the Citizens need - but would he really command regular game time?
