Southampton win appeal against Sadio Mane red card

Southampton midfielder Sadio Mane has had his red card against Stoke City overturned.
The Senegal international was bizarrely dismissed after an innocuous collision with Erik Pieters in the latter stages of the Saints’ 2-1 win at the Britannia Stadium on Saturday.
However, the Football Association has upheld a wrongful dismissal claim – leaving Mane free to play against Liverpool in the Premier League on Sunday.
"The red card is a big mistake of the referee or maybe of the fourth referee or maybe of the linesman," Saints boss Ronald Koeman said after the match.
"Sadio is trying to put his head to the ball; Pieters is doing the same. Even Pieters told me afterwards there was nothing. We will appeal against that red card."
Mane, 23, has made 35 appearances for Koeman’s side this season, but has not scored since December.
