Polish international Piotr Zielinski, who is loaned to Empoli from Udinese, could soon sign for Liverpool.
According to well known Polish TV programme Liga+ Extra, the 21-year-old, who is in Poland's provisional squad for Euro 2016, should sign a contract on Wednesday.
Zielinski had a breakthrough this season in Empoli and Jurgen Klopp is a big fan of youngster's talent. He is said to be a technically proficient attacking midfielder.
Rumours began to link Zielinski with the club in January this year. In April, Zielisnki spoke to Sportowe Fakty, saying, "There is a lot of truth in the Liverpool rumours. Jurgen Klopp is interested in me, and we have talked a few times."
Klopp has form for developing young Polish talent, most notably helping Robert Lewandowski become one of the best strikes in the world at Borussia Dortmund.
Zielinski's agent this week told Reviersport that a move was on the cards:
"There's a lot of interest in Piotr Zielinski. We are pretty far with one club already, and it could lead to a signature in the next couple of hours."
