Sergio Aguero charged with violent conduct for flying elbow, set to miss Manchester derby

Sergio Aguero looks likely to be suspended for the upcoming Manchester derby after being charged with violent conduct for appearing to elbow West Ham’s Winston Reid.
The incident was caught on camera in the second half of City’s Premier League match against West Ham at the Etihad Stadium on Sunday.
The FA charged Aguero despite the fact that none of the match officials saw it.
"Sergio Aguero has been charged for an alleged act of violent conduct which was not seen by the match officials but caught on video," the FA said in a statement.
Aguero caught Reid in the face with his elbow and if found guilty - as the vast majority of those players charged by the FA are - Aguero would face a three-game ban, ruling him out of matches against Manchester United, Bournemouth and Swansea City.
Ironically, Aguero might have missed those matches in any case after sustaining an injury which has kept him out of international duty this week.
Reaction at the time of the incident was mixed, with City's boss saying he'd not noticed anything.
"I didn't see it," said manager Pep Guardiola.
"If we lose him, we lose him... we will still have 11."
The verdict on social media was rather different, however.
