Chelsea in talks over £30m Antonio Rudiger - reports

Chelsea are reportedly closing in on a deal for Roma defender Antonio Rudiger that could be worth £30 million.

Rudiger, 24, signed for Roma in 2015 and reports at the time suggested that Chelsea were tracking the centre-back.

However reports from the Telegraph and the Mail say that Chelsea are now in talks over a possible £30 million deal.

The move comes with Chelsea yet to make a summer signing although they have been linked with moves for Willy Caballero, Alex Sandro, Tieumoue Bakayoko and Romelu Lukaku.

Furthermore the Blues have also been linked with central defenders Virgil van Dijk and Leonardo Bonucci.

And the reports say that despite the arrival of Rudiger Chelsea could still sign another centre-back.

Reports late on Friday evening from Sky Italia suggested that the deal had indeed been concluded with a medical planned for Monday.
