City drew 0-0 after Palace missed a late penalty, but they will be most concerned over two injuries to their players.
De Bruyne left the match on a stretcher after Puncheon made contact with De Bruyne at shin-height. Puncheon appeared fortunate to receive just a yellow.
The Palace winger also left on a stretcher, and City suffered another worrying injury in the first half when Gabriel Jesus left in tears over a groin injury.
Asked about the tackle and De Bruyne's injury after the match, manager Pep Guardiola said:
"Kevin, we will see tomorrow. Referees have to protect the players, that is all I ask."
