Philippe Coutinho and Mohamed Salah are both missing from the Liverpool squad to face Burnley on New Year's Day.

Liverpool's Brazilian midfielder Philippe Coutinho is substituted during the English Premier League football match between Liverpool and Leicester at Anfield in Liverpool, north west England on December 30, 2017.

Whilst Salah was expected to miss out with injury Coutinho's exclusion comes as a surprise.
It also comes as rumours continue to swirl about the Brazilian's future, with Nike recently causing a stir as they accidentally posted and then deleted text on their website that appeared to confirm his move to Barcelona.
The club have said that Coutinho is missing with a thigh injury.
New club-record signing Virgil van Dijk is not eligible as the paper work for his move from Southampton wasn't completed in time.
Elsewhere Roberto Firmino, Joel Matip and Andrew Robertson are also rested.
Joe Gomez starts at left-back whilst Adam Lallana makes his first start since injury.
Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Dominic Solanke partner Sadio Mane in attack.
