Tottenham Hotspur have signed full-back Serge Aurier from Paris Saint-Germain after a work permit was granted, with the Ivorian vowing to show fans “the real him”.

Aurier’s reported £23 million move was delayed due to complications arising from the 24-year-old’s suspended sentence for assaulting a police officer in Paris last year.
He was banned from entering the UK for PSG’s Champions League clash with Arsenal in November, but the issue has now been resolved.
Aurier has signed a five-year deal at Spurs and joins fellow summer arrivals goalkeeper Paulo Gazzaniga, Argentine defender Juan Foyth and £42m record signing Davinson Sanchez.
"This is a huge and exciting opportunity at a massive football club and I am determined to prove myself as a professional both on and off the pitch," he told the club’s official website.
"This is a fresh start for me and I will do everything to make the Spurs fanbase, which is huge and diverse, proud of me.
"The fans are the most important people at any club and I am looking forward to showing them and everyone at Spurs the real Serge Aurier."
Aurier has a chequered past – his list of misdemeanours include abusing referee Bjorn Kuipers on Facebook (three-match European ban) and making homophobic comments about former PSG boss Laurent Blanc (suspended indefinitely).
He bolsters Tottenham’s options at right-back following the £50m sale of Kyle Walker to Manchester City, with Kieran Trippier and Kyle Walker-Peters his opposition for a starting spot.
Aurier won two Ligue 1 titles and two French Cups at PSG, and has also won the Africa Cup of Nations with the Ivory Coast in 2015.
