The club confirmed the 20-year-old has a small fracture on his left fibula, having suffered the injury in the 2-0 Premier League defeat to Manchester City on Sunday.
Fellow defender Carl Jenkinson will also miss six to eight weeks with an ankle sprain, though Arsenal are boosted by the fact Nacho Monreal has returned to full training.
