The Belgian playmaker confirmed he would remain at the London club for the year, but has not given any indication of his future beyond that.
After the World Cup, Hazard had hinted that he would be interested in a move away, and was regularly linked with a £100-200m move to Real Madrid.
Chelsea wish to offer Hazard a new contract but he does not appear keen on signing anything at the moment, with two years left on his current deal.
The Spanish transfer window is yet to shut, with around two weeks remaining when it will close at the end of August.

Hazard spoke to the media after his side's 3-2 win over Arsenal on Saturday, and told RMC Sport:
"You know what I said after the World Cup. I'm happy here, I do not want to talk about that yet.
"Many things have been said - nonsense and everything. For now, I'm happy. I still have two years of contract [left] and we'll see what happens. I will not leave [this year].
"The transfer window in England is already closed. We can sell but we cannot sign players. It would be a bit strange for [Chelsea] to let me go and not recruit another player.
"We could see [against Arsenal] that the fans like me a lot. I feel good here. We'll see what happens in a year or two years."
After making a gradual return from World Cup duty he played half an hour in the victory over his side's London rivals.
