Leicester City manager Brendan Rodgers watched on from the stands as his new side won 2-1 at home to Brighton on Tuesday night.
Rodgers was confirmed as Claude Puel’s replacement just an hour ahead of kick-off at the King Power Stadium, and took his place next to vice chairman Aiyawatt Srivaddhanaprabha while first-team coaches Mike Stowell and Adam Sadler oversaw proceedings on the sidelines.
Looking to impress the new man in charge, it was Demarai Gray who put Leicester ahead after just 10 minutes, who calmly slotted it past Mat Ryan in the Brighton goal.
After the break, Jamie Vardy doubled their lead, and though Davy Propper got one back three minutes later, Leicester held on to return to winning ways, having last tasted victory on New Year’s Day.
