Former Manchester United striker Ole Gunnar Solskjaer has inadvertently been confirmed as the club's new interim manager.
Premier League side United sacked manager Jose Mourinho on Tuesday after having suffered their worst start to a season for 28 years.
Although United would neither confirm nor deny media reports about who would take charge, clubs sources said Norwegian Solskjaer and former United assistant Mike Phelan were "clear front runners" and a decision would be made shortly.
Then late on Tuesday evening United accidentally released a video, that was later deleted, that had the caption: "Solskjaer becomes our interim manager, 20 seasons after clinching the Treble with THAT goal at Camp Nou..."
And that was compounded with a tweet from Norwegian Prime Minister Erna Solberg who sent her congratulations to the former forward. She also then deleted her tweet.
Solskjaer, 45, played for United between 1996 and 2007 and is currently manager of Norwegian club Molde.
Phelan played for United under former manager Alex Ferguson between 1989 and 1994 and worked as a coach at Old Trafford for 14 years.
