HALF-TIME: Wolves 2-1 West Brom
A very eventful first half comes to an end in the first Black Country derby for nearly nine years. Both teams had a fair few chances and the Baggies would have been buoyed by opening the scoring less than ten minutes in, but Wolves have been relentless with their pressure down the wings as well as posing a threat from corners. You get the feeling this match has many more goals in it.

Snodgrass produces a lovely touch on the edge of the box. His cross is only headed as far as Gibbs who drags his shot well wide. Should've done better from that position.

GOOOAALLLLL!!! Creator turned bagsman! Boly's surely made up for giving away the penalty now. Awful defending from the visitors means they can't clear away a corner and Boly fires home from inside the box to make it 2-1 to Wolves!

There was a real sense of relief on Silva's face once he'd scored! He's only 18 years-old but there's been a lot of pressure on him given his club record transfer fee and Raul Jimenez's long-term injury.

Bit of a cynical foul there by Ajayi to pull back Dendoncker, allowing his team to regroup. Picks up a yellow card for his troubles.

WHAT A STOP FROM PATRICIO!!! Grosicki's header falls to Robinson who's just about onside, but the Wolves 'keeper reacts quickly to deny the Republic of Ireland international a goal.

CLOSE!!! Lovely flick from Boly at the near post to meet Neto's cross, but it just misses the target! Very unfortunate to miss, especially as Button looked to be beaten too.

Wolves starting to pile even more pressure on West Brom now, with Moutinho delivering two good corners. Both are headed away though.

Both teams are going at it in this game, with no shortage of shots so far!

Two half chances for Dendoncker. The first sees him head the ball marginally wide and the second is a tame shot into the hands of West Brom 'keeper Button.

CLOSE!! Dangerous ball from Neto and Button manages to get a fist to it but can't clear the ball. It's a bit of scramble before he regains control of it, but there were some calls for handball too.

GOOOAAAALLLL!!! A quick VAR check confirms that contact was in fact made just inside the box and Pereira converts the penalty in a composed manner to put the Baggies a goal ahead!

Boly is deemed to have fouled Robinson and it's a penalty to West Brom! Not 100% sure if that was in the box though...

Moutinho's corner is cleared but Wolves regain possession and continue to apply pressure until Boly's low strike from range is saved by Button.

Semedo makes a strong run down the right but his eventual cross is deflected for a corner.

KICK-OFF: West Bromwich Albion get the Black Country derby underway after the player's take the knee.

Sam Allardyce's already tough task of trying to save West Brom from relegation constantly seems to be getting harder...

Then only 21, Wolves legend and former England international striker Steve Bull made a rare move crossing the Black Country divide in 1986 to join them from rivals West Brom. He went on to score 306 competitive goals for Wolves - a club record.

Grosicki has struggled to establish himself at West Brom but was key for Hull City in the Championship after playing half of a season for them in the Premier League. Big Sam is likely rolling a dice here today...will it work?
