Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy has been speaking to the Cambridge debating society about Harry Kane's future amid rumours of a transfer away from the Premier League club when his contract expires at the end of next season. Although Tottenham have not won a trophy since 2008 - a League Cup - Levy believes Kane "absolutely" can win a trophy at the club and wants him to have a statue.

Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy insists Harry Kane can "absolutely win a trophy" at the Premier League club.
Spurs have not won any silverware in 15 years. Their most recent trophy was the League Cup in 2008, and they were also runners-up to Liverpool in the Champions League in 2019.
Kane has been at the north London club since 2004 and is their all-time top scorer with 273 goals in all competitions.
The 29-year-old will become a free agent at the end of the 2023-24 season and is expected to attract interest from the world's top clubs if he does not sign a new deal at Spurs.
But Levy, who has been Tottenham's chairman since 2001, says Kane can win trophies at Tottenham and become a club legend.
"He can absolutely win a trophy at Spurs," Levy told the Cambridge University debating society.
"But being a legend is also important. The fact that he’s the top scorer of Tottenham Hotspur; he’s making history.
"I hope one day that there is a statue of Harry Kane outside our stadium."
He continued: "If you go back in history, Tottenham was a club that has a lot of history because it has won things.
"In recent times, it’s not been where it needs to be. We’re on a journey and we need to get better success on the pitch.
"But we have been in the Champions League a number of times and we almost got there, winning the ultimate, which would have been winning the Champions League."
Levy also responded to reports that Tottenham were attracting takeover bids.
In January, it was reported that Qatar Sports Investments chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi met with Levy for exploratory talks over a minority investment.
Just over a month later, it was claimed that Iranian-American billionaire Jahm Najafi was preparing a takeover bid to buy Spurs. Levy says the reports are "completely untrue".
He said: "I answer this question the way I’ve answered it for the last 22 years, so ENIC owns approximately 87 per cent of the club, we have 30,000 shareholders, most of them are fans, and we have a duty to consider any proposals anyone wants to make.
"All I will say is that we’re not in negotiations with anybody, nor have we been over recent months and all the stuff that has been in the newspapers is completely untrue."
