Gabriel Jesus: Arsenal will fight until the end' for Premier League title despite Southampton draw

Arsenal could lose their spot at the top of the Premier League in the coming weeks as they drew 3-3 at home to Southampton on Friday night at the Emirates. Their Brazilian striker said after the match that they would not give up the chase for the title, despite the disappointment of taking just a point against a club who started the day bottom of the table.

Gabriel Jesus said that Arsenal would “fight until the end” after stumbling to a 3-3 draw against Southampton on Friday night.
Arsenal were 3-1 down with two minutes of regulation time still to play, but Martin Odegaard gave the home side hope.
Two minutes later, Bukayo Saka popped up with a leveller to rescue a point for Mikel Arteta’s side.
That left Arsenal five points clear at the top of the league, but their position is by no means assured.
On Wednesday, Arsenal travel to Manchester City for a top-of-the-table clash but a win for City would mean that Pep Guardiola’s men could go four points clear if they win their games in hand on the current league leaders.
Speaking after the match, Brazilian striker Jesus - a former City player - refused to give up hope.
Speaking to Sky Sports, he said: "A lot of things are going on now. We don't want to come here and talk negatively because we are very positive, what we are doing this season is amazing. The Premier League is tough.
"Now is the difficult moment. It is time now to stick together until the end. We still have a lot of things to do this season, it is not over, we are still five points clear. Manchester City have two games in hand but if we want to be champions we have to go there to win the game - that is all.
"We are the youngest team in the league, not making excuses. Sometimes we do right and sometimes we do wrong, everyone can make mistakes that is why it is so important to stick together.
"Everything can happen. Obviously we are not happy with the last three games, we dropped points and we know this is true, no one has to tell us. We dropped a little bit of our level and focus, this is the Premier League, it is so difficult to win this competition.
"We are still there, we are still fighting and we will fight until the end."
