Manchester United are in the market for a new No. 2 after Martin Dubravka returned to Newcastle following a short loan stint at Old Trafford. A new report claims that Erik ten Hag’s side have entered talks with Crystal Palace for stopper Jack Butland, who has struggled for time between the sticks at Selhurst Park. Butland only has six months left on his contract at Palace.

Manchester United are in talks with Jack Butland over a deal for the Crystal Palace goalkeeper as they look for a new back-up for David de Gea, according to a report.
Newcastle's Martin Dubravka was De Gea's deputy until the Magpies recalled him from his season-long loan last week.
Tom Heaton, 36, was named on the bench during United's 3-0 win over Bournemouth on Tuesday, but the Red Devils are in the market for a long-term No. 2 between the posts.
Butland was once a Premier League regular at Stoke City before the side were relegated, but he has struggled for a starting spot since his 2020 move to Palace where Vicente Guaita is first choice. The arrival of Sam Johnstone has also led to increased competition.
Butland's deal at Selhurst Park expires in six months, but the Telegraph claim United are keen to bring him in ahead of the season's end.
De Gea's contract also expires in the summer, though the club have an option to trigger a one-year extension.
