Aston Villa have 22 points from 10 Premier League games as their promising early season form under Unai Emery continued on Sunday against Luton Town. The home side secured a 3-1 win as Luton struggled in defence and also going forward. On the south coast, Brighton were unable to keep hold of their first-half advantage as they drew 1-1 with Fulham.

Aston Villa kept up their excellent form with a 3-1 home win over Luton Town, while Fulham drew 1-1 at Brighton.
Scotland international midfielder John McGinn scored on the 17th minute for his fourth of the season, as Moussa Diaby scored a second four minutes into the second half from inside the area.
Diaby was again involved when Villa added their third, with his cross met by Luton captain Tom Lockyer who turned the ball into his own net.
The visitors struggled to pose much danger to Unai Emery’s men, but they were gifted a goal in the 83rd minute when Emi Martinez was unable to stop the ball rebounding off him, and into the Villa goal, after Ezri Konsa headed against the bar.
The victory sees Villa move onto 22 points after 10 league games. Luton are in 18th spot on five points.
On the south coast, Fulham earned a point at Brighton following a Joao Palhina equaliser.
Evan Ferguson looked on course to give the home side their first win in four league wins with a first-half effort in the 26th minute.
In wet conditions, Brighton were unable to keep control of the match and Palhinha, linked to some of Europe’s biggest clubs in the summer, was able to finish off a move for Marco Silva’s side when Brighton lost possession just after the hour mark.
On-loan Barcelona youngster Ansu Fati went close, but was denied by goalkeeper Bernd Leno as Fulham held on for a point to stay 14th, while Brighton are now seventh.
Elsewhere on Sunday, Everton beat West Ham 1-0, while Liverpool had an easy 3-0 win over Nottingham Forest.
