Danny Ings played the part of pantomime villain and super-sub rolled into one as his injury-time equaliser snatched a draw for West Ham against his former club Burnley at the London Stadium. The Clarets had gone 2-0 up through David Datro Fofana's wonder goal and Konstantinos Mavropanos putting through his own net, but Lucas Paqueta and then Ings saw the Irons take a point.

Danny Ings came off the bench to snatch a draw for West Ham and haunt his former club Burnley at the London Stadium.
Vincent Kompany’s visitors arrived in east London rock bottom of the Premier League table and without a win since December 23, when they beat Fulham 2-0 at Craven Cottage.
The Clarets from Lancashire raced into a two-goal lead here however, as Chelsea loanee David Datro Fofana continued his good run of goalscoring form with an excellent strike, leathering a 25-yard effort into the top corner beyond Alphonse Areola in the home goal.
Konstantinos Mavropanos, a mainstay at the back for West Ham in recent weeks, then put Josh Cullen’s cross through his own net on the stroke of half time.
There was an immediate response from David Moyes’ hosts after the interval, as Lucas Paqueta took advantage of some sloppy Burnley defending, with Dara O’Shea robbed of possession by the Brazilian, who slotted confidently beyond James Trafford.
Ings arrived on the scene in the 82nd minute, and thought five minutes later that he had set the game up for a grandstand finish as he put the ball past Trafford, but his fellow substitute Michail Antonio was adjudged to have been offside in the build-up, leaving the Hammers still chasing that elusive equaliser.
But it did come, as Ings put a dagger in the hearts of his former side following a ricocheted cross that fell kindly into his path, the striker volleying home to snatch a draw for the below-par hosts, and score his first goal in a year.
Elsewhere, Brighton and Hove Albion put their dismal midweek 4-0 UEFA Europa League last-16 first-leg defeat in Rome behind them as they returned to winning ways, beating Nottingham Forest 1-0 at the Amex.
An Andrew Omobamidele own goal was the difference between the two sides, as the Irish centre-back got the final touch on a Pascal Gross free-kick to take it beyond Matz Sels in the 29th minute.
Roberto de Zerbi had rung the changes after The Seagulls’ capitulation in the Italian capital, making seven alterations to the side that started the first leg of that tie.
The hosts characteristically dominated possession as Forest tried their best to counter attack and exploit the spaces left by the Brighton attack, but Nuno Espirito Santo’s visitors could not muster an equaliser as the home side clung on for a win that sees them up to eighth in the table.
