After joining Fulham back in 2021, Marco Silva on Tuesday signed a contract extension that will keep him at the London outfit until 2026. It comes after the Spaniard enjoyed two successful seasons with the Cottagers, notaby guiding them back to the Premier League in his first season in charge. Silva admitted that his ambitions are to "sustain Fulham in the Premier League."

Marco Silva has signed a new three-year contract at Fulham and will remain the club’s head coach until the end of the 2025/26 season.
It comes after the Cottagers suffered a 2-0 defeat against Tottenham on Monday in the Premier League.
The result continued a mixed start to the new season where Fulham have lost four of their opening nine matches to go 13th in the table.
The 46-year-old is currently in his second year in charge with the London outfit, having replaced Scott Parker in the dugout in July 2021.
“I’m really pleased to sign a new contract as it was something we had been discussing for some time," said the former Everton, Watford and Hull City boss.
“It’s always a good sign when both parties are happy and want to continue working together. I feel that the business is not done yet, we’ve had two great seasons, and the goal is clearly there to sustain this club in the Premier League.
“This is key for the future of this club, and we are working hard to achieve it.”
Following the club’s relegation to the Championship at the end of the 2020/21 campaign, Silva brought Fulham straight back up to the top-flight, with the London side scoring 106 goals on their way to winning the title, winning 27 games in the process.
Last season, Fulham enjoyed a solid start in the Premier League but dropped off the pace in March. They lost five games on the bounce, which proved costly in their attempts to secure European football.
He added: “It is important to feel the trust and have the support of our owners. My relationship with them, and with Fulham Football Club as a whole, has been really important in this decision and the success of the last two seasons.
“The commitment and ambition that these players have demonstrated since day one has been the key to what we have achieved, and that will always continue to be the case, along with the unconditional support of our fans, who are fundamental. Let’s continue together on this long journey.”
During his time with the club, Silva has won 48 percent of the league matches he has resided over in both the Premier League and the Championship.
Fulham chairman Shahid Khan said: “This is a wonderful day for Fulham Football Club. Specifically, it’s a fantastic moment for Fulham supporters, who deserve our very best efforts to invest in the present and future of their Club, both within and around the game.
“I’m happy to announce that we have a new contract with Marco Silva through 2025/26, and am confident this news will inspire our players and fans, both immediately and in the seasons ahead.
“When I first met Marco in 2021, I knew then he represented everything we needed and more from our next head coach.
“I am grateful that Marco believed, as I did, in what is possible here at Fulham, and now here we are several years later reaffirming our commitment to achieving something special for our fans.
“Marco and I are aligned – we have work ahead, but even more to look forward to.”
Fulham's next game is a trip to Brighton in the Premier League on Sunday, October 29.
