Alexander Isak, Jamaal Lascelles, Joelinton and Anthony Gordon scored the goals as Newcastle United beat Chelsea 4-1 in the Premier League. The win ends Chelsea’s mini-revival – which consisted of a three-game unbeaten run, against Blackburn Rovers, Tottenham and Manchester City. The Magpies move up to sixth. The Blues had Reece James sent off in the second half but were already 3-1 down.

Newcastle earned a 4-1 win against a 10-man Chelsea who lost control in the second half.
Chelsea were hoping to move up the table after their poor start, while Newcastle needed a win to keep up the pressure on the top four.
Mauricio Pochettino had to watch from the stands after his third yellow card of the season during the game against Manchester City, and he saw the home side go ahead on 13 minutes when teenager Lewis Miley teed up Alexander Isak.
But 10 minutes later Raheem Sterling scored his sixth of the season - the same as his tally last season - with an expert free kick.
In the second half, Chelsea threatened to lose their heads with a string of yellow cards that allowed Newcastle to go back in front with a Jamal Lascelles header before a Joelinton goal within 90 seconds of the restart.
The situation got worse when captain Reece James saw red for a second yellow when he brought Anthony Gordon down after an error, and Gordon later made it four.
Newcastle play PSG on Tuesday, while Chelsea play Brighton next weekend.

Talking Point- Chelsea lost their heads

James' sending off just how quickly the game ran away from Chelsea on Saturday afternoon.
To see their captain go off for a combination of a defensive error and, before then, dissent, sums up that the side lacked discipline.
Pochettino was watching from the stands but there is work to do on the training ground before he can make a real difference on the sidelines.

Player of the Match - Lewis Miley (Newcastle)

There were no bad performances from the Newcastle line-up but the moment that sparked the win came from 17-year-old Lewis Miley. The England under-19 midfielder would not have been on the pitch were it not for an injury crisis, but he showed plenty of promise that could start to put his older team-mates under pressure.

Match Highlights

13’ - GOAL! NEWCASTLE 1-0 CHELSEA - ISAK SCORES - The home side are ahead! Miley has the ball inside the D, he slips in the pass for Isak - played on by Cucurella - and he picks out a spot to the 'keeper's right.
23’ - GOAL! NEWCASTLE 1-1 CHELSEA - STERLING SCORES - The forward lines up his free-kick just to the left of the D. There's not much room for him to get it up and over, but he loops the ball over the wall and leaves Pope motionless.
60’ - GOAL! NEWCASTLE 2-1 CHELSEA - LASCELLES SCORES - Gordon cuts onto his right foot on the left wing, whips in a cross, and an unmarked Lascelles thunders the ball away from Sanchez.
61’ GOAL! NEWCASTLE 3-1 CHELSEA - JOELINTON SCORES - Silva receives the ball, turns towards goal and fails to properly connect with his boot. Joelinton, rushing on, takes the ball away from the defender and slips it past Sanchez.
73’ - JAMES SENT OFF - A defensive error from James means he's chasing down Gordon on the left wing, he brings down the attacker with a check, and it's an obvious second yellow.
83’ - GOAL! NEWCASTLE 4-1 CHELSEA - GORDON SCORES - Almiron flicks a through ball down the inside left to release Gordon, and he fires in a low shot to the far post.
