Pape Matar Sarr has committed his long-term future to Tottenham Hotspur after the Premier League club confirmed that he has signed a new contract. The Senegal international will remain at the north London side until 2030. The club statement said that Sarr has been a "revelation" for Spurs this season as they look to continue their resurgence under new manager Ange Postecoglou.

'Super game from start to finish' - Klopp delighted with win over Newcastle

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder Pape Matar Sarr has signed a new long-term contract until 2030, the Premier League club announced on Tuesday.
Almost exactly a year ago, Sarr made his debut for Spurs, going on to make 14 total appearances for the club in the second half of the 2022/23 season, also featuring for Senegal at the 2022 World Cup in Qatar.
But it's this season where the 21-year-old - who joined Spurs from Metz in August 2021 - has really come to the fore under new manager Ange Postecoglou.
A club statement read: "We are delighted to announce that Pape Matar Sarr has signed a new contract with the club that will run until 2030.
"The Senegal international midfielder, 21, has been a revelation this season, his all-action style and ability to cover the ground really catching the eye in Ange Postecoglou’s new-look team."
Sarr has featured in 18 Premier League matches for Spurs already this term and scored his first goal for the club in their 2-0 home victory over Manchester United in August.
The midfielder then grabbed his second goal of the season as Spurs secured a 3-1 win over Bournemouth at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on New Year's Eve.
Sarr's match ended on a sour note as he left the pitch visibly emotional after picking up an injury in the first-half.
Pending his prognosis, he is set to travel with Senegal for this year's Africa Cup of Nations and could be unavailable to feature for Spurs until February.
Speaking after the win, Spurs boss Postecoglou provided an update on Sarr's fitness and said: "Pape felt his hamstring and he's emotional because he wants to go away with his national team.
"It's a big tournament for them. It's kind of the way our season has gone. He was so good again early in the game, apart from his goal, and then he gets an injury.
"Disappointing for him but I am hoping it is not too serious and he can still go away and contribute to his country."
Senegal are the reigning AFCON champions and will look to win the tournament for the second time in the nation's history.
The tournament will take place in Cote d'Ivoire and Senegal find themselves in Group C with Cameroon, Guinea and the Gambia.
