Douglas Luiz scored an 89th-minute winner as Aston Villa beat Burnley, Crystal Palace downed Brentford 3-1, and Wolves defeated Everton 3-0.
Brentford were looking to bounce back after a 4-1 home defeat to Wolves in their first match after Christmas, while Palace also suffered defeat, losing 2-1 to Chelsea at Stamford Bridge.
Brentford took the lead after just two minutes through Keane Lewis-Potter as he converted a cross from the right wing, but Palace would regain the lead before the end of the first half.
Michael Olise scored at the back post for the home side 12 minutes later after some slick build-up play outside the area. Eberechi Eze scored with the end of the first half approaching, and 13 minutes into the second half Olise grabbed his brace with a low shot into the corner.

Villa battle to win over Burnley

Villa were looking to get back to winning ways after their disappointing late defeat to Manchester United at Old Trafford on Boxing Day, and Burnley needed a win to breathe life in their bid to stay up after losing to Liverpool.
Villa took the lead through Leon Bailey just before the half-hour mark as he picked up the ball on the right-hand side of the box, and swept a rising shot into the net with his left foot.
Zeki Amdouni levelled two minutes later with a set piece from the left wing headed across the box for him to hook past the ‘keeper, but Moussa Diaby was on hand to turn in Villa’s second from close range.
Things went from bad to worse for Vincent Kompany's men when midfielder Sander Berge saw red for a second yellow card, but Lyle Foster sprung a surprise with a 71st-minute equaliser.
There was more drama to come when Villa were awarded a penalty in the 89th minute, and Douglas Luiz blasted his shot against the crossbar, onto the goalline and then into the net.

Wolves too strong for Everton

Everton had suffered a 3-1 defeat at home to Manchester City on Wednesday, and were without a win in three matches.
Max Kilman was on hand to finish a goalmouth scramble on 25 minutes as Wolves took the lead at Molineux, and were hoping to make it three wins in a row when Matheus Cunha extended the lead shortly after the restart.
Wolves added a third through Craig Dawson on 61 minutes to make sure of victory.
In the early Saturday kick-off, Chelsea won 3-2 at Luton - with Cole Palmer a shining light.
